Application Information
Purpose:
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide aspiring nurses with the financial support they need to pursue their nursing education and make a meaningful difference in healthcare. We look forward to receiving applications from dedicated and passionate nursing students who share ourcommitment to improving patient care and the nursing profession.
Eligibility Criteria:
Students applying for this scholarship must be pursuing RN credentials through an accredited Associate (ASN), Bachelors (BSN), or Masters (MSN) degree program in the state of South Carolina. They must be starting at least the second year of one of the programs listed above in
the coming fall and have posted a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Application Materials:
If you are a first-time applicant, your submission must include:

A 500-800 word essay sharing your motivation for choosing a nursing career, your long term goals within the profession and how you plan to contribute to the field of nursing.

A minimum of two letters of recommendation

One from a former/current nursing professor/teacher

One from someone who can speak to your character and service to your school or community

Letters of recommendation should contain the title of the originator and information indicating his or her relationship to you.

A copy of your acceptance letter to the accredited nursing school/program you are attending

Your most recent official transcript
No digital transcripts shall be accepted from the applicant; it must be an official, sealed copy from the school. The school may send an official digital copy via email to info@fordandfordgroup.com.
Application and Selection Process:
The Scholarship Committee will place increasing emphasis on academic achievement and financial need. The minimum scholarship amount awarded to a recipient is $500.
Interested parties should complete the online submission form during the open application period. You will be prompted to upload your application form, transcripts, essay and letters of recommendation via the online portal.
Once the submission deadline has passed, the committee will review all submissions to ensure
eligibility criteria have been met, then begin the process of selecting the candidate to receive the award. Those selected by the committee to receive the scholarship will be notified via email and announced on the scholarship website.
